about
Recorded at Lemp Room 3 and mixed by Leo Jalipa
Summer 2016
lyrics
we went looking for the sun
but we kept digging deeper
losing what control we'd won
faces unfamiliar
and we're approaching dusk
There's no clear way back to
all the paths that we once crossed
Looking for your hand to hold
I fell in too deep all alone
looking for a hand to hold
I fell in too deep on my own
Our eyes were open
but we walked blind
avoiding shedding seasons,
the reminders of lost time
I could see it
written across your face
it read even if we survive this
we'll still never be the same
I watched you go
into the deep all alone

Blemish might just be the coolest band I've heard in a long time. I can't think of a song on here that gets old. They do dual guitar better than most bands that do it, and just manage to kick absolute ass with every track on this album. The three tracks which appeared on the original Demofest release are unbelievably catchy, each with a seriously killer chorus. The rhythm section also kills it on here, combining with the guitars and attitude-filled vocals to present this effortlessly cool group. Porkandham
